RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Demonstrate Safety Leadership through the promotion of the INEOS 20 Safety Principles
  • Strive to improve the safety and environmental performance of the units
  • Support the maintenance and development of new control concepts in the current Phenol units (for e.g., control loop tuning, model identification through plant step tests, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Optimization and APC manger and the plant operators to ensure successful completion of the planned experiments
  • Document the existing advanced control strategies
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in area of process control technology and APC applications
  • Adhere to safety and quality management system protocols

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Level of Education & Experience in general

  • Master student in the final phase of their course (Chemical, Control, Process Engineering or related field)
  • Strong communications skills drive, sense of urgency and problem solving abilities will be critical for the success of this individual
  • Technical Skills

  • Adhering to the existing incident-free operations culture
  • Ability to learn state of the art process control methods and techniques
  • Ability to learn working with commercial APC software and DCS applications
  • Skills in data handling, computers and programming
  • Behavioral Skills

  • Leadership practice preferred, social competence, fluent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Ability to manage complex situations and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on one’s own responsibility, highly motivated and flexible
  • Ability to work in a team, good organizational skills
