    Key Roles and Accountabilities:
  • Demonstrates Safety Leadership through the promotion of the INEOS 20 Safety Principles.
  • Strive to improve the safety and environmental performance of the units.
  • Maintain and continuously improve current Phenol and Cumene units (this includes activities such as control loop tuning).
  • Issue monthly report with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of current DCS applications.
  • Interface with Operations personnel to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Ensure proper documentation and operator training.
  • Coordinate with APC Engineer and Production & Optimization Manager server maintenance (backup, security patches, …) to ensure high reliability of the APC applications.
  • Stays abreast of industry best practices in area of process control technology and special applications.
  • Responsibility for DCS and ESD system maintenance and development.
  • Management of process control system, upgrade and update projects.
  • Ensure system availability as well as IT security according to INEOS requirements and specifications.
  • Make control modifications determined by the team of plant engineers looking after the plant.
  • Maintain complete records of all modifications to the system.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to the control system and affect repairs, liaising with technicians as required.
  • Develop and program required process monitoring requirements.
  • Assist the maintenance department in their servicing of field control systems which may include emissions monitoring programs, turbine control systems and plant safety protection systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with all recommended system upgrades and evaluate them for our application.


  • University Master degree (Electrical, Instrumentation of control, Computer Engineering or related field).
  • Several years of process control experience in chemical, refining or industrial manufacturing and/or capital projects with prior responsibility for and familiarity with DCS functions and applications.
    Young professionals with necessary qualifications will also get a chance.
  • Strong communications skills drive, sense of urgency and problem-solving abilities will be critical for the success of this individual.
  • The ability to work across all disciplines and throughout all levels of the organization in a persuasive and credible manner is necessary.

  • Skills in data handling, computers and programming.
